The lyrics on this album are all in Swedish. En röd vals(“A Red Waltz”) was composed by the great Jan Johansson for Sweden’s Eurovision entry in the 1960s, along with four other tracks on the album. None were winners, but each has its own charm.
Two songs are by Lars Gullin, one of Sweden’s most internationally known jazz musicians.
Bob Dylan’s Don’t Think Twicehas been “jazzified” with Swedish lyrics for a fresh twist.
The album also features two songs by one of my favorite contemporary Swedish songwriters, Niklas Lind Gabrielsson.
